Due to the desperate quest for access to high school education, New Dawn has continued to open its doors to children from backgrounds that are socially and economically disadvantaged while imposing a subsidized tuition fee that barely 40% of the parents are able to pay at any given term.

This is where the partnership of Africa Leadership came in very significantly.  Africa Leadership has consistently raised support for the school since 2009 and facilitated the operations of the school in such a way that every enrolled child has had a chance to remain in school.  However, in 2016, the organization communicated inability for them to raise sufficient funds for the sustenance of the school.  This was due to donor fatigue and related economic hardship factors.  At this point, the school management was faced by a crisis of meeting operational costs for running the school.  (The school has no form of support from anywhere else and has to cater for the entire budget, a significant amount going to teachers salaries).  At this point the Management took a decision to make adjustments that warranted a restructure which only enabled it to operate with a skeleton staff.

Therefore, New Dawn Kenya Kenya constantly explores and works with like-minded individuals and organizations to form partnerships that are focused on supporting the students through funding.

The New Dawn Run is an event that invites participants with an aim of creating awareness as well as raising funds for the needs of the young students at our secondary facility.
